Launched on the 31st March, The Sizzix Awards have provided a platform for Sizzix consumers to showcase their die-cutting talents and skill.
Entrants have submitted projects under the categories; papercraft, sewing & softcrafts, upcycling and innovation to be in with the chance of winning a Sizzix machine and a collection of dies.
Entrant’s makes are being judged under there categories by Crafts Beautiful Editor Sarah Crosland, who is judging the papercraft category, Sizzix Design team member Aida Haron judging the Upcycling category, Sizzix Creative Designer Leanne Rowlands judging the softcrafts category and scrapbooking company Carrot Cake’s Elena Roche, Quim Diaz and Alberto Juarez judging the innovation category.
The standard of entries has been high from crafters of all levels, whether beginner or more experienced die-cutters. The projects have been from a variety of making types, from home décor to fashion accessories showcasing the variety Sizzix dies and die-cutting machines give consumers.
Each category will have a winning project, which will be added to the People’s Choice Award where consumers can vote for their fellow makers from the Sizzix community. The People’s Choice will be open to voting at the end of the month, choosing the overall winner of The Sizzix Awards.
