One of the most interesting aspects to our Sizzix team is our capabilities for working with countries all over the world! Our products don’t just feature in the US and UK, and it’s our job here at Sizzix UK HQ to cater to everywhere outside of Canada, U.S and South America.Our Senior Rest of World Account Co-ordinator, Lauren Forbes, is responsible for looking after all of our customers and prospects in Asia, Africa and the Middle East. When did you join the Sizzix team?
I started working for Sizzix in October of 2014 – so coming up to three years ago now!
What does your role entail?As a senior account co-ordinator, I’m in charge of looking after our customers in Asia, Africa and the Middle East. I help them with all queries and orders whilst keeping them up-to-date on our latest product releases.
What makes your role unique?
For me, getting to talk to people from all over the world is what makes my role unique. In one day, I can speak to someone from Saudi Arabia, Singapore and South Africa!
What’s your usual work day like?
Busy! There are a lot of different aspects to my working day including answering emails, introducing customers to new products, processing orders, analysing sales, researching regions, talking to customers and supporting my team.
What do you love most about what you do?
I love the versatility of my role – no two days are the same! One day I’m completing an analysis report, the next i’m researching Dubai or on a Skype call to Japan. It keeps my job very interesting and engaging.
If you could spend one day working in another part of the business, which department would you choose and why?
I would love to spend a day working in Product Development. I think it would be great to see the process that the products go through from beginning to end, before we start our job of getting them out to the customers.
