Our sales team members are pivotal in the selling of our products and managing accounts that are based all over the world. We sat down with Amy Bingham who has been essential to the team for over three years! Amy talks about her daily role and what she enjoys about her work life!
When did you join the Ellison team?
I joined the Ellison team in July 2015.
What does your role entail?
My daily role includes working closely with a large number of UK craft independent retailers – processing their orders and talking about all the new exciting dies and accessories we have due for release. As part of my role I also handle a number of consumer calls and emails, which is always very interesting as we communicate with consumers from all over the world and many different languages!
What makes your role unique?
Probably the large variety of UK independent retailer accounts I have. I have got to know how they all individually work and understand the selection of products they stock. This helps me as I know I am providing a personal / bespoke service to each of them. Another great part is that we offer support to the end consumer with any questions they might have. It’s pretty unique to help everyone along the way!
What’s your usual work day like?
I am usually talking to my accounts, providing advice and guidance on bestselling dies and machines and researching trends in the industry. I enjoy processing my retailers’ orders and seeing the variety of dies and accessories they choose – it is very interesting to see!
What do you enjoy most about what you do?
I really love talking and interacting with my accounts and consumers from all over the world.
If you could spend one day working in another part of the business, which department would you choose and why?
I would definitely choose to work with Pete Hughes in the design room for a day. I would love to explore my creative side more and Pete is such a great teacher, you would learn so much in a day!
