This Halloween there were lots of spooky happenings at Sizzix, as we fundraised for Nightingale House Hospice, our Charity of the Year!
Nightingale House provide specialist care for patients with life-limiting illnesses, delivering care, comfort and support to patients and their families.
Amongst the Halloween decorations, the team entered for an afternoon of games, including apple bobbing, pumpkin popping, guess the number of sweets and Halloween themed charades!
All employees got in the spooky spirit and dressed up in fancy dress, with witches, ghosts, aliens, to name a few, taking over the office.
This left our Global Warehouse and Logistics Manager, Martin Wilkinson, the very tough decision of choosing the winner of the fancy dress competition.
The winner of the fancy dress competition was our Interactive Media Designer, Anna Whyte! Transforming into a mystical unicorn, Anna won a restaurant voucher for her efforts.
Holding fundraising events such as this is not only a way of raising money, but it also encourages employee engagement, increases moral and gives the team something to plan and get excited for! In total we raised £109.25 from the day’s events, given to Nightingale House as part of our fundraising efforts for 2018!
