This January to kick start 2021, we took on the challenge of hosting our first very own virtual event.
For over a decade, we have been exhibiting at trade shows globally to showcase our house of brands, latest product releases and meet with existing and potential new customers. Faced with a challenging climate in 2020, we had to get creative and explore new ways of connecting with our customers in line with the ‘new normal’.
Through our chosen digital platform, we were able to host a variety of live sessions, allowing our B2B audiences to engage with us and learn more about our expansive product ranges. Our talented Sizzix designers, plus special guests Tim Holtz and Eileen Hull, hosted informative and inspirational sessions to demonstrate the latest Sizzix products from our 2021 catalogue. Throughout each creative session, our audiences were able to engage with us in real time through live Q&As whilst having instant access to an array of supporting literature.
In addition to these sessions, an integral part of the event experience was our immersive 360 virtual booth tour. The physical booth is pivotal part of our in-person events and as such it was key that we were able to emulate this in an online space. Our talented team at Ellison built a 90 square metre stand at our own premises, filled with inspiration which was transformed into a virtual tour by experts Circus 360.
Our Sales and Marketing Director Jessica Sharkey commented; “The booth design captured all of the core elements we would produce at an in-person event, with retail walls filled with exciting new product, paired with inspiring lifestyle areas to showcase our new releases. Through the use of hotspots, we were able to add an additional layer of education, featuring imagery and videos of our products and projects throughout. We were even able to include some friendly faces – delivering a welcome message from our CEO & Global Board Member – Richard Birse and allowing our talented designers and other members of the Ellison team to talk through the inspiration behind the booth and set the tone for the eagerly anticipated online event.” Take a look at the tour here.
