Last month Ellison’s consumer die-cutting brand Sizzix wanted to give something back to our much-loved communities and launched two exclusive new dies. The designs in a rainbow motif along with ‘good vibes’ phrases support our Sizzix consumers in their pledge to continue to spread hope and joy through their creative pursuits and pastimes. Donations from each sale was given to charity, helping those in need during and in the aftermath of the Covid-19 pandemic.

We are donating £6/€7 from the sale of each die through sizzix.co.uk which will be split in equal shares between Action Against Hunger and the Trussell Trust, along with $10 from the sale of each die through sizzix.com being donated to Feeding America.
So far, from our first months of sales we are delighted have donated an amazing £1,026 to both Action Against Hunger & Trussell Trust and $2,380 to Feeding America, totalling over an impressive £3,800 / $5,100!
We have been overwhelmed with the popularity of the dies with our consumers and have already brought in additional stock to meet demand. It’s been a pleasure to see how our consumers have been using the designs through our #donatetomake campaign and we thank our loyal consumers for supporting us in this endeavor. Through our consumers purchasing these exclusive designs, getting creative and spreading a little joy and positivity to friends and family in these difficult times, they have made a direct impact and given something back to these charities who have seen a huge surge in requirements for their services during the pandemic.
With Covid-19 affecting so many people across the globe, these charities will continue their hard work, contribute to the fight against hunger and aid families in their recovery from the devastating impacts of Covid-19 and increased pressure on their services.

Action Against Hunger is responding to the pandemic by supporting health centres, raising awareness about how to prevent outbreaks, and providing essential supplies ranging from medicine and hygiene kits to PPE. They are also still committed to fighting hunger, during this new crisis. Sarah Kosciukiewicz, Corporate Partnerships Manager at Action Against Hunger commented; “Thank you to Ellison for donating part of the charity die sales to support our lifesaving nutrition work and Covid-19 emergency response in vulnerable communities worldwide. We are incredibly grateful for your support, especially at this challenging time for everyone.”
Feeding America has responded quickly to the pandemic, with innovative new safer food distribution methods. Their food banks have supported the challenges faced within the community and they have helped people when they have needed it the most, as an additional 17.1 million people could be pushed into food insecurity. They said “Feeding America thanks Ellison for their generous support of Feeding America’s COVID-19 Response Fund that is helping Feeding America’s 200 Food Bank network feed America’s hungry.”
The Trussell Trust has seen a surge in the amount of people turning to food banks during the pandemic, who last financial year gave out a record 1.9 million emergency food parcels to people living in crisis, with over 700,000 going to children. Here is what Samantha Stapley, Chief Operations Officer at the Trussell Trust, had to say; “We’ve seen unprecedented numbers of people needing help from food banks as the impact of Coronavirus has hit people’s incomes. This isn’t right. But thanks to the support of Ellison and Sizzix, we have been able to remain agile to the fast-changing situation, ensuring food banks in our network are better equipped to provide the lifeline of emergency food to people in crisis today while we work towards a future where everyone can afford the essentials. Thank you so much.”
