LAKE FOREST, Calif. (July 19, 2011) – Just when you thought the eclips™ Electronic Shape-Cutting Machine from Sizzix had mastered precise folding lines for easy-to-assemble projects, it took its scoring feature to new heights. Among the eight new cartridges that the brand is scheduled to roll out, all but one (Bang! Zoom!™ & Yarn™ Alphabets Cartridge) offer scoring to enhance details of shapes and to unleash incredible intricacies never seen before from an e-cutter. The shapes on the new cartridges can be previewed by retailers at the Craft and Hobby Association (CHA) Summer 2011 trade show July 19-21, 2011, at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Ill.

Beginning with Albums, Bags & Boxes #2, Cards & Envelopes #2 and Card Fronts, the eclips goes beyond the basics to deliver incredible cuts with unsurpassed scoring lines. For instance, designs on the Albums, Bags & Boxes #2 Cartridge include three-dimensional designs such as breakthrough boxes resembling everything from a Birdhouse and an Owl to a Tea Pot and more. The Card Fronts Cartridge goes where no other e-cutter has gone before with super-detailed cuts for A2, A6 & A7 cards and corresponding envelope sizes. Eye-popping images include the Bird w/Flowers Card Front, the Ornate Scroll Pocket and the Lovebirds Gatefold Card.

Other key releases in the eclips Cartridge launch include three new titles from BasicGrey®, each of which have 25 base shapes plus an alphabet. Themes range from whimsical boys’ and girls’ sets titled Oliver Shapes & Alphabet and Olivia Shapes & Alphabet to a travel-themed cartridge called Wander Shapes & Alphabet.

In addition, Brenda Pinnick offers her stylish impressions of the 12 Days of Christmas, a cartridge that includes a nostalgic holiday alphabet and almost 30 base shapes.

And last, but certainly not least, are the Bang! Zoom! & Yarn Alphabets, which are two of our most popular alphabets on one incredible eclips cartridge.
