SIZZIX COMES TO QUILTERS’ RESCUE
With 45 New Dies Launched Just for Quilters, Sizzix™ Makes a Big Impression at the International Quilts Market Fall 2011 Show
LAKE FOREST, Calif. (October 29, 2011) – Quilters asked. Sizzix answered. Launching 45 of its latest dies with new lower pricing and adding to a line that now includes more than 100 appliqué and quilting dies, Sizzix continues to empower creative consumers with an easier way of cutting. The latest die designs for its Big Shot™ and Big Shot™ Pro shape-cutting machines were showcased for retailers at the International Quilts Market Fall 2011 Show at the George R. Brown Convention Center, October 29 - 31 in Houston, Tx.
In addition to Originals Dies, the new product assortment consisted of Bigz™ and Bigz L in both Clear and non-clear, along with Bigz in other varieties such as XL, XL 25" and Pro dies (exclusively for the Big Shot Pro Machine). More geometric shapes also continued to populate the product line with such favorites as circles, triangles, squares, trapezoids and more.
If that weren’t enough, the comprehensive product offering provided quilters, sewers and appliqué artists more complex shapes like the Robbing Peter to Pay Paul design in both Bigz L and Bigz Pro die sizes, as well as fun piecing shapes like Bigz L Apple Core Die, a Bigz Tumbler Die and a Bigz L Bottle Die.
At the show, live demonstrations of corner designs with multiple assembly options wowed the crowd, while scannable tags with stored audio files known as TalkingTag™ Labels made their debut, promising to give voice to any creation. In addition, new lower pricing was offered on 26 SKUs to the delight of attendees.
“This show was just another example of how Sizzix replaces the pain of cutting with an easy, accurate and fun experience,” said Linda Nitzen, Sizzix Sales and Marketing Quilting Manager. “With easy-to-operate, versatile machines and desirable die designs that cut much more than fabric, we help transform not just quilting and appliqué, but also scrapbooking, cardmaking, fashion, home décor, jewelry making and much more.”
