As a general guideline, Ellison manually-operated Die-Cutting Machines cut multiple layers of materials. However, it is best not to overload the machine with cutting materials to ensure that the machine performance is optimal. For exact quantities of materials to be cut, please consult the chart below.
The eclips Electronic Shape-Cutting Machine allows you to walk away after pre-setting cuts of a single layer of material with thicknesses ranging from paper and cardstock to vinyl and light chipboard.
A few basic tips when using SureCut and AllStar Dies:
- Quantity of sheets machine will cut at once depends on material thickness, as well as size and complexity of die design.
- When cutting felt or delicate materials, add backing paper to aid in cutting.
- Use only one sheet of material when cutting with crease rule dies.
