FRAME THE POSSIBILITIES WITH ALL-NEW FRAMELITS

Hero Arts and Sizzix team up for a revolutionary new line of die-cutting and embossing products specifically designed to enhance stamping

LAKE FOREST, Calif. (July 19, 2011) – Get ready for something big! Sizzix, crafters’ choice for personalized creative products, has partnered with Hero Arts, the leader in stamping, to offer a die-cutting and embossing collection that perfectly coordinates with a new line of stamp designs. These breakthrough new products will be available in a variety of beautiful themes that can be previewed by retailers at the Craft and Hobby Association (CHA) Summer 2011 trade show July 19-21, 2011, at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Ill.

The first exciting release includes new Framelits™ Dies, which allow crafters to cut exactly what they see. These wafer-thin etched dies cut perfectly, have no ridges and are easy to align. With Framelits, even scraps can be cropped precisely. In addition, many of these designs are concentric, allowing for cuts that can be easily framed and layered. Framelits are also ideal for stenciling or cutting windows in cards, scrapbook pages and more.

For the Hero Arts release, each of these amazing Framelits Die Sets will be packaged with a matching cling stamp set. This unique product pairing allows crafters a quick, easy and accurate method to cut around rubber stamped images. The first release includes 10 different packs of Framelits ranging from five to eight dies along with the accompanying rubber stamp designs from Hero Arts.

In addition to the Framelits and Stamp pairing, Sizzix and Hero Arts are also introducing nine new Sizzix Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folders packaged with a stylish, original design matching Hero Arts cling rubber stamp. By stamping the image first, crafters are able to align the stamped image inside the embossing folder before feeding it through a larger Sizzix roller machine.  The results are simply magical: a raised 3-D stamped design with endless creative possibilities.

“The initial response from retailers and our test market of crafters has been tremendous,” said Denzil Quick, director of marketing for Sizzix. “Everyone is enthusiastic about two great brands coming together for truly amazing products with countless applications!”

Other varieties of Framelits Dies with clear stamps can also be found in the upcoming Stephanie Barnard collection as well as a Sizzix launch of geometric-based Framelits Dies without stamps. All Framelits are for use in larger Sizzix roller machines with the machine’s included platform. For compatibility with Framelits in a BIGkick™, Big Shot™, Big Shot Pro or Vagabond™ machine, crafters will be able to use the Solo Wafer-Thin Die adapter with the Solo Platform & Shim to create a sandwich for accommodating Framelits as well as other brands’ wafer-thin dies.

Hero Arts offers stamps and cardmaking accessories, papers and inks that beautifully complement the Sizzix line of products.
