TIM HOLTZ® ALTERS COURSE OF CREATIVITY WITH BOLDEST PRODUCTS YET

More Exciting Additions to the Alterations™ Line, Plus Stamp2Cut™ Cartridges for the eclips® Machine Await the Altered Artist’s Fans

LAKE FOREST, Calif. (January 29, 2012) – Tim Holtz® and Sizzix®. They go together like creativity and crafters, die-cuts and embellishments and vintage and distressed. With his newest Alterations products for Sizzix and Stamp2Cut cartridges for the eclips, Tim Holtz combines all those stylish elements with his usual amazing designs that live up to his iconic edginess. Retailers were among the first to get a sneak peek of these amazing upcoming products at the Craft and Hobby Association (CHA) Winter 2012 trade show, January 29 - February 1, 2012 in the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, Calif.

With the release of 19 new Tim Holtz® Alterations™ Stamp2Cut™ cartridges for the eclips over the next several months, Sizzix and Tim Holtz have combined to create the quickest and easiest cuts around Tim’s Stampers Anonymous images. These innovative cartridges eliminate complicated cutting with a pair of scissors and make it a breeze to cut multiples of a stamped shape with electronic precision, while adding a whole new dimension to stamping. For the most accurate registration each design includes a cutting template with original, solid, shadow and pieces (on selected designs).

In addition, three different retail assortments of new Alterations products are poised to complement Tim’s motorized Vagabond™ Machine for Sizzix. Crafters take the next step of their creative journey with the latest totally transforming designs, plus the tried-and-true Alterations SKUs. Among the highlights of his latest, eagerly awaited assortments:

• Sizzlits® Decorative Strip Dies: Perfectly antiquated, yet perfectly modern, five more of these extra-long dies offer one-of-a-kind antique artwork to alter. Tim’s latest offerings include Inside Out and Stenciled alphabets, along with Tattered Flower Garland and - more - Harlequin and Washer borders.

• On the Edge™ Die: Introducing a die so edgy that edge is part of its name: Sewing Edge cuts eye-popping edges up to 5 1/2" for cards, scrapbook pages, mini books and more.

• Bigz™ Dies: Seven authentic and oversized dies, plus one Bigz XL Die to create such vintage images as Bird Branch, Tick Tock and a Vintage Camera, Fan, Globe, Telephone and Typewriter. For the most eclectic possibilities from an alphabet, this Bigz XL Word Play Die puts every letter, word and number into play with a classic look and a wide range of materials to cut.

• Movers & Shapers™ Base Dies (for use with Movers & Shapers Magnetic Dies): Crafters can set the scene for some creative high jinks with imaginative magnetic backgrounds such as Tag & Tie, In the Bag, Matchbook Set and Pocket Envelope.

• Movers & Shapers Magnetic Dies/Sets: These old-fashioned designs have plenty of space to roam on Movers & Shapers Base Dies or Base Tray. Among the altered adventures ahead for crafters are the Cargo Stencil Number Set, which can be arranged and rearranged to deliver gritty charm in 1" tall style and Vintage-themed sets depicting an Alarm Clock & Camera, Fan & Globe and Telephone & Typewriter – the anticipated sequels to Tim’s Bigz version of the same designs.

• Accessory: Here’s another new tool for any creative arsenal: this set of three transparent Embossing Diffuser™ templates and three insets adds or removes texture anywhere within a Texture Fades™, Texture Trades™ or Textured Impressions™ design. This selective embossing technique requires either the BIGkick™, Big Shot™, Vagabond™ or Texture Boutique™ machines to emboss completely around the opening of the Embossing Diffuser. For another creative twist, just the inset shape can be embossed! Set includes Circle #1 with a 3 1/4" opening/inset, Oval #1 with 3 1/2" x 1 1/2" opening/inset and Oval #2 with a 2 3/4" x 4 1/4" opening/inset.

• Texture Fades™ Embossing Folders: Six new shabby chic and unique sets include Book - more - Covers, Bubble & Honeycomb, Diamond Plate & Riveted Metal, Harlequin & Stripes, Retro Cirque and Subway & Stencil to easily emboss so that select areas of the image appear perfectly faded and distressed.

• Special Cardstock: From Tim’s Cut & Emboss Series™, these amazing pads of Tim Holtz-inspired antique colors are anything but ordinary. They’re made for the unique dimensions of Sizzix shape-cutting and embossing. Manufactured by Core'dinations® exclusively for Sizzix, this 80 lb. textured cardstock comes two sheets (Distress Collection) and three sheets (Kraft-Core™) per color and are acid-free. For distressing with Kraft-Core, simply sand or buff to reveal the Kraft-Core.

Of course, Tim’s timeless titles are also still available. These include many Seasonal Dies from the Tim Holtz Alterations product line which still remain immensely popular with consumers looking for a unique way to express themselves.

In a separate retail offering, crafters can impress big time – approximately 12" x 12" to be exact – with our largest and boldest Textured Impressions™ Pro designs made exclusively for the Big Shot Pro Machine! Crafters can enjoy designs such as Field of Diamonds, Field of Flowers, Preppy Plaid, Swiss Dots and Flowers & Vines.

While all these releases are compatible with all the larger Sizzix roller machines, it’s the popular Vagabond Machine that truly lends itself to Tim’s altered art.

“With so many machines geared just toward paper, I wanted to create a different kind of machine that would alter a variety of craft mediums,” explains Tim. “In creating the ultimate portable and powerful machine that cuts and embosses everything from paper to Grungeboard®, we made sure that it not only looked like no other machine but that it performed like no other machine.”
