ELLISON UNVEILS SIZZIX BRAND REFRESH AND BIGKICK MACHINE AT 7th ANNUAL MEMORYTRENDS SHOW
New Packaging Revealed for Entire Line
LAKE FOREST, Calif. (October 10, 2006) Ellison, the world’s leading manufacturer of award-winning, hand-operated die-cutting equipment, unveiled its eagerly-awaited Sizzix® brand refresh, which features not only an updated logo and new packaging but the much anticipated and feature-packed BIGkick Machine. In addition to these exciting announcements, Sizzix launched many new dies, papers, alphabet sets, Clearlits and Embosslits all at the 7th Annual MemoryTrends Conference and Expo October 10-12 at the Sands Expo and Convention Center in Las Vegas.
“The Sizzix brand refresh took the best elements of the industry's leading die-cutting brand and gave it a fresh, up-to-date look,” said Lisa Corcoran, president and CEO of Ellison. “In addition, the Sizzix BIGkick was created for crafters who are always looking for new products to meet their scrapbooking, cardmaking and creative needs. The BIGkick Machine, which features the Sizzix signature red as an accent to the machine’s clean white color, will be available at an MSRP of $99.99. For those interested in the full package, the BIGkick Starter Kit retails for $129.99 and in addition to the machine, includes one pair of BIGkick Cutting Pads, one BIGkick Multipurpose Platform, one Sizzix Bigz die, one Simple Impressions Embossing Folder and two Sizzlits dies. Additionally, the dies for the ellison design Big Shot can be used with the BIGkick, though in some cases the Thick Cuts Premium Crease Pad may be necessary.
“Ellison is thrilled to introduce the BIGkick with our new packaging for the Sizzix line,” continued Corcoran. “We recently gained full control of Sizzix and wanted to enhance the brand by retaining those elements of the design that are recognized by our loyal consumers, while at the same time, bringing them into the Ellison family of products. Our new look achieves that goal.”
On the product side, Sizzix Little Sizzles textured cardstock and mat board will be available in a variety of color schemes with both adhesive and non-adhesive options. The MSRP ranges from $3.99 to $9.99. The paper can be paired with any of the existing and new Sizzix products to enhance creative expression.
Some of these new products include the following Bigz dies: “Dingbats #1 and #2,” “Flower & Vines #1 and #2,” and “Heart, Decorative” for an MSRP of $19.99. Sizzix Bigz Alphabet is available in individual uppercase Sassy Serif letters A through Z for an MSRP of $19.99 per letter.
A dozen new Simple Impressions Embossing Folders are being introduced, many of which have been licensed through me & my BIG ideas and include “Phrase, Glamour Girl,” “Phrase, Kiss,” “Phrase, Sweet Dreams” and “Phrase, Wow!” Each folder has an MSRP of $8.99.
The Clearlits dies, which are available at an MSRP of $6.99, include “Flower,” “Heart,” “Ornament,” “Star” and “Tag,” while Embosslits feature “Butterfly,” “Charm,” “Crown” and “Gift.” Embosslits, with designs provided by me & my BIG ideas, are available for an MSRP of $9.99.
Additionally, Ellison is launching a number of additional designs for Sizzix Sizzlits, including singles, sets, alphabets and Decorative Strips dies, as well as new products, Bigz Cut-n-Folds dies, Texturz Texture Plates and a number of BIGkick accessories.
