Trademarks
Ellison takes great care in the development and protection
of trademarks, trade names, brand names and trade dress, and
reserves all rights of ownership in them. These marks, names
or trade dress, and all associated logos or images, are registered
and/or common law trademarks of Ellison, and are protected
by US and international laws and treaties. To the extent that
trademarks owned by other companies appear at this Site, they
are used with permission.
Use of Ellison logos
The use of Ellison logos is carefully limited. No other company,
individual or entity may use Ellison logos unless it has the
express written permission of Ellison or is licensed by Ellison
to do so. To obtain permission to use any Ellison logo, contact
Ellison at 949.598.8822.
Ellison, Prestige, and Pad-It X-Press, among others are trademarks
of Ellison. The absence of a product or service mark or logo
from this list does not constitute a waiver of a product’s
trademark or other intellectual property rights concerning
that name, trademark, service mark or logo.
When using product marks in publications that will be distributed
in the United States, include the appropriate TM, SM or ®
symbol on first use. For publications that will be distributed
outside the United States, do not include trademark symbols.
The trademarks, in word and logo form, are registered trademarks
in several countries outside the United States.
Remember that trademarks are adjectives, and cannot be made
plural or possessive.
Fair use of product trademarks
“Fair use” of trademarks allows third parties
to make reference (text ONLY) to product names. The following
guidelines are published to ensure proper use and reference
to product names. While fair use allows use of or reference
to product names, it is necessary that the usage be truthful,
not disparaging, and does not mislead the public. You must
be clear and accurate as to the nature of the relationship
between Ellison, Corp.Ellison.com, and your company, its products
or services. Use of Ellison product names by third parties
is allowed, without permission or licence, when specifically
referring to Ellison products.
Example
The Ellison Prestige Machine is the latest in the line of
